Can I ride a 45 km/h scooter through the Tiergartentunnel in Berlin?
No. The Tiergartentunnel is a Kraftfahrstraße, and a 45 km/h scooter has no business in there. Same goes for the A100, which is an Autobahn.

Watch for this sign
The blue sign with the white car marks a Kraftfahrstraße. Only vehicles registered for more than 60 km/h are allowed on it, and a 45 km/h scooter isn't (§ 18 StVO).
If you see the sign at an entrance, ride past and take a street on the surface. That's a few more traffic lights, but you're riding legally.
Why I built nonstop
I ride a 45 km/h scooter myself and started out with Google Maps. For me, “avoid highways” only avoided them when it felt like it. And there was no way to exclude Kraftfahrstraßen at all.

Where are the entrances I need to watch for?
In the north the tunnel starts at Minna-Cauer-Straße, and there's a southbound entrance at Invalidenstraße. There's also a junction at Kemperplatz by Tiergartenstraße, and in the south the tunnel ends at Reichpietschufer on the Landwehrkanal.
Can I take a 45 km/h scooter on the A100?
No, not anywhere. The A100 is an Autobahn. That includes the 3.2 km stretch from the Neukölln interchange to Am Treptower Park, which opened on 27 August 2025.
What's the best way around the tunnel?
Put your start and destination into nonstop. You get the fastest and the shortest route that's legal at 45 km/h, so no Tiergartentunnel and no A100.
